Ah yes, The Graduate. This 1967 comedy drama launched the career or Dustin Hoffman and became a classic.
The story centers on a recent college graduate who has returned home. He is greeted by his parents and parent's friends excited for his future, as he did very well at university. Despite the enthusiasm for him, he is unsure of how to proceed. In the meantime, he is seduced by his father's friend's wife, Mrs. Robinson.
I don't want to give away much more of the film, but then we throw Mrs. Robinson's daughter into the mix and we get some real conflict.
The cinematography is excellent. The film has an excellent artistic style to the way it's shot. Throughout the movie, the music is that of Simon and Garfunkel. This is aspect makes the film extra pleasurable if you enjoy the music of Paul Simon, as I do.
I give The Graduate my seal of approval. I definitely recommend seeing it.
